2020 & Deaths ...

The year 2020 and deaths can't be separated, this year cost us many lives. Death is a heavy subject and so is 2020, we can never tread lightly here. One after one, we face the challenges, changes, viruses, disasters together as a world.

I got a hard slap on the face this year with so many deaths surrounding us. the hardest one was my brother in law's demise. He was young and we were quite close, never in my wildest dreams have I thought that he will go so soon. I never got a chance to say goodbye, I wouldn't say its my greatest regret but I do miss him.

Not just him, so many celebrities passed away this year and God knows how many other people lost their loved ones out there what with the Covid - 19 and all. This brings me to the present, I am slowly realizing how fragile our lives are. It can be all gone in a nanosecond and there's nothing we can do to stop it.

"You know people who you think are going to be there forever with you? Well yeah, they are NOT going to be around forever. "

Do everything you have ever dreamed of with the people that matter, do it frequently and do it now because the next minute is not promised. What makes us so sure that we can do it tomorrow, next week or next year?

People always say this and we take it for granted until it happens to us. Death knocks on every door without exception, remember that. Nonetheless, if you think someone is toxic and you do not want to talk to them anymore, that's fine too. As mentioned, this only goes to people who matter to you.

We are so busy working, scrolling through social media, binge watching series, for what? At the end of the day, none of those things will matter. You will go to the grave empty handed, your loved ones will walk you to the grave and that's about it.

What else are we waiting for? We are given one life, let's live it properly without regrets, with a lot of memories and a soul full of experiences, ready for its next adventure.

At the end its just one thing: CELEBRATE PEOPLE, CELEBRATE LIVES NOW.
