Seriously, Batu Caves?

It is a bit of a wreck what with all the hu-ha's that has been going on recently about Batu Caves management painting the staircase. Okay but so what? I don't see an issue with that, neither should anyone. At the end of the day, its their decision and whatever the management decides to do is totally up to them.

What I don't really understand is why is it so necessary to make it a big problem till it goes viral? Its just paint, c'mon guys, calm down.

Yes, many people seem to voice out that the money could have been donated to charity and what not. Seriously? I wonder if the people who are saying this donate even a small chunk of their salary to charity every month without fail.

Previously it was about Indian girls' saree blouses during Thaipusam, then it was about their saree and now its about the temple itself? When are we going to address the more complex issues?

For those who don't understand what complex issues I'm talking about, here's a mini list for you:

1. Boys drinking and dancing near the temple area during Thaipusam as if it is a party.
If you are still unclear about this, it is not a party by any means. It is a prayer festival for heaven's sake.

2. More priorities for Indian people to open up stalls during Thaipusam.
Since it is very hard for Indians to start up their own business in public with so many disturbances and obstacles from all sides, it should be a given that the first priority to open up a stall for an Indian festival should go to the Indians.

3. Your own self.
Rather than going around pin pointing and blaming the entire world for their actions, please just take a look at yourself and see what you could work on to up your game. You might hate me for this now, but trust me it will do you a world of good. Thank me later.

Yes, Batu Caves has a new look and it is marvellous. Instead of bashing the management for their choices, why can't we just take a minute to indulge in the beauty of it? Whether they did it to attract tourist or make the place more vibrant just because it looked run down, that's not for us to judge.

Personally, I think it looks way better now and radiates even more positive vibes and energy.

So, seriously you're talking about Batu Caves when there's a million and one other things you should rather focus on?
